Application Support Analyst (New York City)

Job Description:

Orchestrade is seeking candidates to ensure customer success to our growing base of top tier banks and world class hedge fund customers. This is an ideal position for an analyst interested in pursuing a career in financial technology for capital markets. The candidate will work under the leadership and guidance of a client support lead. The support team plays an integral role with other teams in delivering excellent customer support.

Tasks:
  • Interact with clients to understand reported issues.
  • Interact with clients to gather criteria for enhancements.
  • Assist clients with system upgrade and implementations.
  • Support, administer and maintain existing systems.
  • Provide documentation and training for users in existing business information applications.
  • Test system upgrades and business reports relevant to the company.
  • Communicate any upgrades, releases and enhancements to relevant clients.
Minimum Requirements:
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • 1 to 3 years of working experience, preferably in the financial software industry.
  • Experience with demonstrable support and report writing skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft skills in Word and Excel.
  • Experience in writing business cases.
  • Advanced data extraction, analysis and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of application functionality and data management concepts.
  • Good communication and business skills are required.
  • C/C++/C# programming knowledge in .Net is a must.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Experience of API usage/development is preferred.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Basic knowledge in mathematics, finance and financial calculation is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and can work collaboratively within a team.
