Software Engineer (New York)

Job Description:

Orchestrade is looking for a Software Engineer to join our product development team. The product development team works to expand the Orchestrade product to cover new business initiatives, financial products, and analytics while meeting the demands of banks and hedge funds in the continually evolving capital markets. The successful candidate will closely work with the product development team to develop new functionalities, rapidly solve problems and enhance existing aspects of the application.

Tasks:
  • Utilize DevExpress and .NET frameworks to design, add new features such as table columns or action handlers and correct malfunctions in the panel
  • Develop neat and efficient stored procedure in the database using MSSQL, Oracle SQL, and PostgreSQL
  • Optimize and develop code with less time complexity to improve the performance of the current system
  • Utilize WCF in the system to apply or incorporate new actions to interfaces, Excel, remote services through message broker such as RabbitMQ
  • Write valid Batch scripts to design, guide and assist code deployment procedures to ensure the whole systems is running properly with all needed files and directories
  • Work with client supports to understand the requirements; determine the feasibility and develop solutions with the multi-threads architecture or scheduled plugin which is able to interact with the interface of the financial systems
  • Use C# skills and visual studio testing and debugging tools to locate bugs and resolve them without impacting the running system
  • Work closely with the development team to maintain and enhance the existing application based on development priorities specified
  • Learn about the business logic of the system and all technologies related to the development environments so as to work with client supports across different time zones to diagnose problems and suggest solutions
Minimum Requirements:
  • B.S. in Computer & Information Sciences/Software Engineering or its equivalent
  • Knowledge in derivatives products is a plus
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and can work independently
  • Multi-tasking
